Piecemakers Quilt Club is delighted to offer classes by two talented Olympic Peninsula Quilters: Taunya Gormley and Gail Frick.
Taunya was born and raised in Port Angeles and still lives there. About 20 years ago she started to get serious about quilting, joined a quilt guild and began taking classes at a local quilt shop. Her quilting skills really developed when she was able to quit her job, which allowed her more time to quilt. When she was offered a job at the local quilt shop, she jumped at it. She started teaching classes a couple of years later. Her next step was to start longarm quilting. “I love quilting, teaching and sharing my knowledge with others.”
Gail has lived in Port Angeles for over 50 years and after retirement from the financial industry, decided to use her experience in sewing and switched to quilting in 2010. She has taught numerous classes and loves using different rulers to create different designs. Gail is also one of our Olympic Peninsula longarm quilters.
Both Gail and Taunya are members of Piecemakers Quilt Club.
