A jelly roll rug is just that – a rug made from a “Jelly Roll” of fabrics!
If you are looking for an easy project for one of those jelly rolls that you’ve collected, make a rug. It’s not a hard project, it just takes some time.
Susan will walk you through this fun project and by the end of class you will have created a unique addition to your home.
There is no pattern required, but does require some additional supplies and some pre-class sewing.
If you don’t have a jelly roll in your stash, cut your own fabrics. You will need to cut 2-1/2” strips. 20 strips for a small rug or 40 strips for large rug (29”x44″).

If you want to try your hand at collage quilting but not sure where to start, perhaps a Laura Heine pattern will put you on the right path. Susan is a certified Laura Heine instructor and will help you create the mini collage from your choice of Laura Heine patterns; you will need to purchase a pattern prior to class. Susan will provide instruction in Laura Heine’s collage technique and will provide individual help with fabric choice and placement. At the end of the class you will have a collage well underway.
